- Large items are picked up on the second regular collection day.
- Yard waste is collected every Monday. Place the yard waste in biodegradable paper bags or a designated yard waste container.
- Yard waste WILL NOT be accepted in your blue recycle container. The new 30 gallon blue recycle container
is exclusively for SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING (glass, paper, plastic, cans, cardboard)
- Household appliances are collected once a month.
- Trash should be stored in watertight containers with handles and loose fitting lids.
- Do not place more than four containers out for collection.
- Containers should not be larger than 30 gallons or weighing more than 50 lbs.
- If the trash collectors spill trash they will pick it up. If animals tear up the trash or improper container breaks it is the owners' responsiblity.
- Unacceptable items for trash pickup include refuse resulting from repair, excavation, or construction of buildings(sand, earth, lumber, brick, stone, mortar, plaster, roofing materials,plumbing fixtures, tires, hazardous wastes, appliances).
- Do not place trash on curb later than 6 am on the day of collection or earlier than 7 pm the night before.
- The trash collection truck will not return once it passes.
- Trash should not be contained in paper bags, cardboard boxes or flimsy plastic bags.
Collection of trash and recyclables will be made on the next scheduled collection day when the collection day falls on a holiday. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday is observed on Monday. If the holiday falls on a Wednesday the holiday is observed on Thursday. Trash will not be collected on the following holidays:
- November 6, 2007: Election Day
- November 22 and 23, 2007: Thanksgiving
- December 25, 2007: Christmas
- January 1, 2008: New Year's Day
- March 21, 2008: Easter
- May 26, 2008: Memorial Day
- June 16, 2008: Flag Day
- July 4, 2008: Independence Day
- September 1, 2008: Labor Day
- November 4, 2008: Election Day
- November 27 and 28, 2008: Thanksgiving
- December 25, 2008: Christmas
