Ages: All ages Bring your own pumpkins to carve or decorate. We will provide paint and other supplies for decorating as well as knives and carving kits. The entire aquatics center is transformed into an eerie water playground with music by DJ Light & Sound. The lights are low, creepy creatures will be wandering and there will be glow necklaces for all. The event ends with a huge candy scramble – where bags of candy will be thrown into the pool for the children to gather up and take home.

Build Your Own Robot @ Greater Plymouth Community Center

Ages: 8-14 years This class will teach you from start to finish how to build your own autonomous robot controlled by an Arduino compatible microcontroller. The instructors will explain the how to create electric circuits using a microcontroller, breadboard, ultrasound sensor and programmable servo motors. All materials are provided and participants will leave with a self-driving, obstacle sensing robot.

Night of Fitness @ Greater Plymouth Community Center

Come sample our Small Group Training and aerobic classes for just $10! This is a great opportunity to take a Cycling class, Suspension class, Body Weight Burn, Land Boot Camp, CoreSculpt and more! Try one or try them all! Each class will last about 20 minutes with minimum time in between, multiple classes running at the same time. If you have ever wondered what Small Group Training classes were like but weren’t sure you wanted to commit, here is your chance to try them out, or just come get in a great night of fitness. There will be raffles and a grab bag for everyone that registers by November 7th! Don’t wait to register, limited space is available! Energy snacks and water will be included!

Cardboard Boat Regatta @ Greater Plymouth Community Center
Nov 9 @ 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Ages: Family (max 5 people) Bring the whole family to build and race cardboard boats in the GPCC’s Lap Pool. This event allows participants to design and create a floating vessel of corrugated cardboard using engineering genius and artistic flair. We will provide all the supplies. After your boat is constructed we will set sail, at least one family member must man the boat. Winners will be based on ability to stay afloat and shortest time to sail across the pool. We will also give awards in “special” categories!

Veterans Day Celebration @ Greater Plymouth Community Center

Area Veterans are invited to join us on Wednesday, November 14th at 2:00 pm at the Plymouth Township Service and Devotion Monument (ceremony held indoors if it rains). Please RSVP to Lori Fisher that you will attend. By RSVPing your name will be included in the program for the event. Light refreshments will be served.
